Is it really still winter?!?!

It is hard to believe it is still technically winter!! Today I thought it would be a fun day to fly kites and make cute things :-) The boys love flying kites and since it wasn't a really windy day they were EXHAUSTED from all the running!!! Plus we packed a picnic to eat at the park and they thought that was fun!! After flying kites we came home and while they rested a little bit I made a few redneck wineglasses!! I have seen these at various events and craft fairs the last few months and I refused to pay the 15$ most people were asking for them...so today I sat on the deck and and made my own!! I hit the Good Will store for the candlestick holders so all in all it cost me about $1.75 to make myself....yeehaw!!!! I have requests from 3 different people for these so I will be making more!! After the boy rested a bit we made bunnies out of miniature clay pots. I made chocolate bunnies and they made white bunnies :-) They had fun painting...Noah kinda needed a lot of help...Jake really tried to do it on his own!! It was a fun day!!! Boooooo to Monday!!!!

Leprechaun traps!!

So Jake needed to make a leprechaun trap for school tomorrow (it was sent home as optional but he wanted to do it). So tonight since it was really a nice night we grabbed a pizza and took all our trap supplies to the park to make. I thought it would be easy just to use a tissue box but he was kinda like oh this isn't going to work cause everyone else has traps way bigger than this!! but after if finished it all he was like I think mine could really win. What that means I have no idea but I am hoping they don't believe leprechauns are real....I was too tired to get into it!!! Anyway here is our version of a leprechaun trap!! Now it's time for this Irish lassie to hit the hay!!

The trap basically works by tricking the leprechaun up the ladder because there is gold at the top. The top is open but covered in feathers so when he steps off the ladder he falls right in...ingenius huh :-) All the other candy and gold is glued down so he can't get that either!

Truffula Trees!!!

So I saw the Lorax today and decided to make Truffula tree cupcakes for work tomorrow. For a quick last minute project I thought they came out kinda cute!! We are doing a "fedex days" exercise for the next 2 days and I have absolutely no ideas for new projects so I am hoping if I bring food no one will realize I have nothing to contribute!!!
